Look back often at how far you’ve come.

When we’re on this wild devotional healing journey, going through ups and downs, deaths and rebirths, uncomfortable expansions, it can be easy to get trapped in the state of wondering why you’re still struggling in some areas, asking yourself “why haven’t I healed this yet???

Well this is your reminder, my love, that the healing journey is like an onion, it has many layers. And as you progress, you keep peeling away old layers that no longer suit you, allowing more of your light to shine through. The healing journey is also often referred to as a spiral, which I like, because it reminds me of our cyclical nature as human beings. We are not linear, as we’ve been programmed to believe.

When I look back at how far I’ve come, it brings me gratitude and peace.

I used to be wrought with anxiety and extremely fatigued almost all the time. I would go through bouts of depression. There were sometimes days and weeks when I couldn’t get out of bed because it all felt too heavy.

I didn’t love myself, at all! (Still working on this one on very deep levels, as this is a very ancestral and collective energy too that has so many layers to it).

I was scared to be seen, to take up space, to truly show myself to others.

But now when I look in the mirror, I see my beauty, I see a woman who’s playful and loving, connected to nature, who’s devoted, who loves to share her magic with the world. I see how different she is from most people and….

I LOVE my different.

I love how far I’ve come.

It’s all worth it. Every struggle along the way, every challenge. Because on the other side, is deeper love and deeper wisdom. Each step, creating more space for your Truth to flow through.
